SCHOOL IS FINALLY OVER. Geeze, effin COD gets out all late. So I found out that my 7 page paper was technically due till today even though the last class was Wednesday. So, it goes without saying that I didn't start writing it till last night. I finished though and I think I did pretty well in my classes overall.

Yesterday we played a set at Anna's graduation party. It was kind of fun..nice and informal and stuff. I think we screwed up more than usual though (sorry Anna). Jay and I decided that Iowa Community Center is a tough place to play without a lot of people there. The stage is so big and the room is so open........I don't know, whatever.

Let's see. We had practice today at 5:00. Jay was the first one there (I don't think that has ever happened), I was two min late, Jon was 10 min late, and we had to call Dustin and Steve multiple times to get them to come. They got there about 6:00. We did sound really good though. It was good cause Brian (who is going to record us) was there to check us out. It seems the recording fire that was dying has been re-lit and we should be starting within a few weeks. The songs still aren't set though..right now it is looking like we might end up with Backslide, Grow Up, and Stand Firm...but the improved Everything and a new song called I'll Wait For You might sneak in there.

OK, well I am going to get back to work on designing possible CD covers in Photoshop. Looking to the future, next week I should have a job, and I just booked a show for two weeks from tonight. Ok..now the pictures:


I made this because Mike Egan is a compulsive liar (and I was bored). It looks kind of crappy since the quality was lowered..but that's OK.

In The CD Player: Nothing, I am watching Best In Show

All righty, well the weekend is half way over and I have a ton of work to do by Wednesday. I have a 7 page paper to research and write as well as two finals to study for. These next couple of days are gonna suck. Last night all my plans fell through and I stayed home alone. No biggie..I just got more sleep then I am used to. Today Steve and I practiced and then played an acoustic set at Laura's graduation party. Jon was supposed to be there for the percussion but he never showed. That's kind of good I guess because we were going to take the money and put it in the band fund, but Steve and I decided that sine we (less than half the band) were the ones working for it, we would just split it. So at least I made a little money today. Oh well, anyway so I decided I was going to rant a little in my blog. Jay does it in his, so....why can't I?

Rant # 1
This is the most specific of my rants. I was driving to school yesterday on Roosevelt Rd., and two lanes Merge after 53. Anyway my lane was ending so I go to merge and this white Lexus mini-van wouldn't let me in. Traffic was pretty backed up so it wasn't an accident. We were moving very slowly..if at all. I was even ahead of it by half a car..but the middle aged women in the mini-van kept pulling up. Soon we were side by side in one lane. The only reason I didn't hit anything was because my lane that ended turned into a turn land. So anyway, we both keep edging forward till finally I hit the gas, drive in the turn lane, and cut in two cars before her. So I win right? Well, later in the stop and go traffic I have get over another lane to turn. So while I am waiting in the turn lane she drives past and flicks me off. A middle aged women in a white Lexus mini-van! What the eff? I am gonna work on adding this story to a song....

Rant # 2
Internet lingo..brb, lol, etc. yeah, it's kind of annoying but it has it's purpose right? It is easier and faster to type. So I use it sometimes too. What I don't understand is how Internet jargon has digressed. People now use numbers in their words. For instance the slang "word" is now w3rd, "later" is L4t3r... How gay is that? It's harder to stop and put in a number. Is it cool? Well, I'll tell you one thing..I am not buying into it.

Rant # 3
Ants. Yeah, that's it. Ants. I hate them. I wrote a song about it once. It is ant season and they are invading my room. I am gonna have to open a can of....well a can or Raid on their black....
