In the CD player: Chapter 2 - Project 86

Well, well, well...look who finally gets to read about me. You duh. You must think that's nice. I don't know why you think it's nice..but then again I don't know why you check this blog either. Regardless...time for my update.

So, Last Thursday I left with Mike, Kevin, and Reese (a playa from North Park) for Canada. We stayed at the same seedy motel but in a smaller room. That park kinda sucked but it was butt cheap and that's what poor college students need. Umm..last time I was there I tried alcohol for the first time as well as smoked my first cigar. This time my list of firsts included going to a BINGO hall (good times and old ladies...don't take that the wrong way), betting on the ponies, and going to a night club. Bingo was kinda fun, they call the numbers pretty fast though. Reese won 75 bucks (only 50 in US money) so that's good. On Saturday we drove to the horse track. Unfortunately for us there was no live races going on that day. We did however do off track betting. In other words, they have large screens of races happening in other places and you can bet on those. I placed 3 different bets and lost them all. My total losses were around $150 dollars. No, I am kidding..I lost $4. Finally, Reese the playa wanted to go the clubs at night. It was an interesting experience. Kevin, Mike, and I mostly just sat at a table and chilled..but I did end up shaking my groove thing a little at the end. (Go white boy, go white boy, go white boy, GO).

Sunday Kevin and Reese dropped Mike and I off at camp. It was OK, not as good as past years but that's all right. My high point was when a few of us got up this morning at like 6:30 and took the horses off camp property and around the country area. We rode those things hard. I actually almost died once. We were in full sprint at one point. Each of us kicking and our horses as we raced down a road. The problem came when my horse (who must have a good sense of direction) recognized that we were passing a street that lead to a street that lead to path that lead to here food. So as we approached the road she starts running on that side of the road and I was trying to get her back in the middle. Basically we headed full speed toward a tree and luckily stopped inches from it. I doubt that made any sense. Ummm..so she wanted to go one way, I wanted to go the other, and the tree was in the middle. That might set the stage for you a little better. Anyway it was all around a good time.

So today I came home, visited with my sister and niece (who came in for two weeks), and then went to the collage group vs. High school soccer game. It reminded me once more that I am out of shape. I was breathing so heavy. I mean...sure I was playing hard and it was 90 degrees out...but still. Anyway, I had fun even though we ended up loosing.

Now I am off to play cards. But first...pictures!

A shot before I left for the trip.

Soon after I got home today...don't ask.
My niece Aurora...neither of us are interested in the camera in this picture. Also today.
