Ok, I am going out to TGI Fridays in a few minutes, but I figured I would just make another quick post.
First things first, after I posted about Vicky I felt a little unfair becaue I didn't have time to type out the whole story. The thing is..up until two weeks ago I would use the internet all day long. Not exclusivly...but kind of a "surf while I work" program to keep me from falling asleep. Two weeks ago though, my boss told me she didn't want me doing that anymore. So, since then I have been severly cutting back. I do however still check my mail a couple of times a day. It is my connection to the outside world while I am at work. OK..there I said it. So, her aquisition was not compleatly out of the blue. Well....kind of. I mean, I had cut back for a week before she decided to say anything. I don't get it. Anyway, I haven't talked to her since.
Haha..I'll teach her...she won't be blessed with my witty conversation. She'll we wishing she hadn't opened her mouth.
OK, the other thing I wanted to post about real quick was David Calendo. For those of you that don't know him..he was the "popular jock" at WB. We were friends in Jr. High (when I was popular) but not in HS. Anwayway...this kid is the most cocky individual I know. (humm..I might dislike him also because he went out with my ex "girlfriend" about a week after she broke up with me. I'm thinking she didn't just want "some time without a boyfriend" afterall. Haha. It's funny that I can laugh about that stuff now.) Anway, the reason I bring him up is because he works at TGI Fridays as a waiter. For some reason I think that is the funniest thing. I mean, I know we all work. A lot of us in crappy jobs too...but there is something satisfying about him having to serve me. Also..when they have to sing the Birthday song.. I love it. It's like a role reversal from school. The biggest dork could come in and he has to serve them and suck up in order to get a tip. (I am in no way suggesting that I am the biggest dork).
Ok..just something that struck me as funny. The website is really really close to being complete. Just in time too..because I am starting to lose intrest in it. I knew I had better work on it hardcore while I was intrested or it would never get done.
As a side note...some of you may have noticed that I stopped spell checking and proof reading my blogs. I figure..it's my blog..I can have typos if I want.
Pictures next time...I promise.

In The Car Stereo: Roy G. Biv - Perspectives in Perspective
Ok, I am am at work again. I have 9 min left on break. Let's make this fast.
Tuesday night I went with Jon and Sara to see the Biv play at the fireside. There was hardly anyone there, but they played a high energy set nevertheless. Good for them. I was the first one to buy thier new full length. I don't usually do that...in fact..I don't ever remember paying $10 for a local CD. But, I had to support them...and I knew that it was good stuff.
Wednesday I worked on the new website a bunch. It is getting closer to being finished. Once the band agreees on a domain we can get it and launch the site. I hope to have this done sometime within the next week and half. Then 10:00 we had a band get together to work on new stuff. I was pretty pumped about this....unfortunatly only Steve showed up. We never heard from the rest of the guys. Steve and I hung out for a bit and then he left around 11:00. I knew Jon didn't get off work till 10:30 so I stuck around for a while thinking he might have gotten around late. I used the time to work on some David Rauch originals....thats a funny though eh? Me writing songs...humm. Anyway, as I said..no one showed up so I left around 12:00 and drove around a bit blasting the Get Up Kids.
And that brings up to today.
Wait..I forgot I want to complain about a person at work. I thought everyone was friendly but this really large black lady named Vicky suddenly started giving me crap out of nowhere. On Monday I was checking my mail and shes like "I have to get your job. You just click click click all day." Stuff like that. I just smiled. But then yesterday, everyone left for lunch but us two. Just as the boss left the room she says "Now that Dianna is gone you can have a field day." I anwser "What's that?" She says "Now you can do whatever you do on that thing." I say "Haha, nope, just checking my e-mail." Then she proceeds to tell me about how nonecompany e-mail is against the rules..but they must have changed for me..blah blah blah.
I was pretty pissed..but I didn't say anything. The reason I got mad is because she and this other lady spend half the day making and recieving personal phone calls. So that's OK, but I can't spend 5 min a couple times a day checking my mail. I don't get it.
So, here is my angle on it. I have been working here almost 3 months and she just spoke up recently. I think she may think that I got the job because I know people. She might think this because I spent the whole company picnic with Carol Klamecki and other people that were running things. Thats just what I am thinking.
Ok, break ended 4 min ago..I think I will get yelled at in a min by her if I don't get back to work ASAP.
Later.

In The Car Stereo: The Get Up Kids
Well, I am at work right now, so I am going to tell you right off the bat that there will be no pictures. Sorry. Cheer up though, when I get home maybe I will post a few.
Anyway, I guess I will start by responding to the guestbook. I am glad to see that the number of people that posted has doubled since I last spoke about it. (4..doh). Tony, you're right, I always forget the Mexican. Anyway, since the topic has been potential CD covers I mine as well type out what has been going through my mind about them.
It seems to me that the Mountain cover is "controversial". Not controversial like Eminem's new Video "Cleaning out My Closet"...but where as one group really likes it and another hates it. It appears from the few posts in here as well as talking to other people that the girls I have shown it too have liked it and the guys haven't. When I showed it to Steve last night he glanced at it and said something to the effect of "yeah, that's not us at all" and moved on to the next one. I would actually suggest that it is somewhat fitting of us seeing as 85% of our fans are female. Maybe what he meant is "yeah, that's not what I think we should be". That would seem fitting because the stuff he came up with was black and hardcore looking.
The thing is..hardcore we are not.
Now..hold on..I am not complaining about Steve (or Jon who also doesn't like it). I was just typing about what is going on. I mean, since it was the first cover I designed for this CD and spent a while on it I am bound to be defensive of it. Anyway, when it all comes down to it both Jay and Dustin would have to love it to "out vote" Jon and Steve...and that would be gay anyway. I want something everyone likes. So, it's official. The mountain cover is out.
As some of you sigh and the rest of you take a breath of relief that it won't be used....continue on..
So, I think we will probably end up using the green cover design. Some things will be different by the time anyone sees the finished project..but that is more or less what it will be. *Oh yeah, as a side note, I am just guessing this. This isn't official. It is just what Steve, Jon, and I kind of agreed on last night when we met. We still have to show it to Dustin (who usually doesn’t have too much of an opinion, but you never know), and Jay.
Enough about that.
I was just about to dive into some "deep thoughts" (not that deep...more interesting) that I had at work last week, but my break is almost over and I don't think I would finish. Maybe I will add them when I add pictures. OK, until then....
