Song: AlecEiffle by the Pixies

I check my e-mail compulsively. It's a sick addiction that constantly lets me down.
It had to be said.

OK, I am off to get ready to go to U of I for the weekend. Continue with the fights.

Well, you can tell I am unemployed. Too much time. What do you think of the new template? I designed it from scratch.

Yeah, so...umm. I don't really have anything to tell, rant, or rave about right now. Sorry. Go to the guestbook and start a fight or something. Make things interesting.

So...I am unemployed. Crap, that sounded just like steve would say it, let me start over.

Guess who traded 340 bucks for his job today? Me. Yeah, today I got the "Corporate Ax". It was Devry's "Black Tuesday". A bunch of people got let go. Here's how it happened...

When I walked in this morning I noticed Ardy (my boss) didn't say good morning. She usually does...strange.

At roughly 10:15 two men walked in with clip boards and folders. They introduced themselves, one as Ardy's boss, and then asked to talk to me. They lead me down the halls, through the mail room, and into a small office.

The head guy read a sheet basically saying that Devry was experiencing economic difficutites. Then the told me as of today my position has been eleminated. Then they had me read and sign a severance package that gave me two weeks pay.

Then back to the office we went. I turned in my badge and keycards. I made a copy of what I was signing. Ardy came over and appoligized. She said she had no say in it and she didn't know until that morning that it was going to happen. Ayway, they said that they had to stay with me until I left the building. I think thats funny. It's like they didn't trust me. P.K. said I should have flipped out Jerry McGuire Style. "Don't worry...I'm not going to do what you think I am going to do...FLIP OUT. I just want to know, who's comming with me..." In hindsight, that would have ruled. Anyway, I cleaned out my desk, put away my work, said good bye to everyone, and left. At least they did it in the morning though..this way I get paid for a full day of work.

So, thats that. Pastor Mike was at my house like 10 min after I got home. Word travels quickly I guess. He took me out to Pompi to eat. I knew there was a reason I liked him.

Anyway, techniqually..I am still on "the company dime" for two weeks. I think I should probably dig up a new job. Outback? Everyone else is doing it. Haha.

In The CD Player: Chevelle - Point # 1

Well, now that that is over I can get back to other stuff. Umm..lets see, oh yeah, there isn't really other stuff. Ok, well I guess there is I just don't know if I feel like typing it all out.
OK...I guess I will, but just because I feel bad the Mike typed it all out and then blogger screwd up.

So, Friday night Mike, Kevin, and I go downtown and park on Belmont and Clark (yeah, by the Alley). It was after midnight so we just walked around and stuff. Then we chilled on a street corner for almost an hour. No, we weren't soliciting ourselves, we were just talking and watching people. There were a lot of drunks out. Anyway, kitty corner from us was a group of about 8 harcore skinheaded punks. They were totally 80s style..it was sweet. We watched them for a while as they fought, harrased people, smashed bottles, setting off car alarms, etc. Then they started slowly moving down the stree toward Mikes car. So we watched them closley. All of a sudden a real fight broke out between a couple of them. They started wailing on eachother and kept smashing into the side of Mikes car. We walked down the steet so that we were watching them (with lots of other people) from accross the street. So, we asked this guy what we should do since that was Mikes car. He yelled accross the street "Hey! Watch the windows". They punks started yelling back at him and telling him to mind his own effin business. He told them what they should do to themselves. Then three of them ran accross the street at him and got in his face. We said thanks for trying and left him to get harassed. Then Mike walked over and told one of them that that was his car. He appoligized and had everyone get off it. By this time it had a huge dent in the roof where someone jumped on it. Anway, we ended up talking to the guy for like 15 min about the punk life and how he and his gang (the Belmont 77s?) pretty much ruled that street since 1994. My favorite line is when he told us how things were "back in the 90's"..thats such a weird phrase.

Yeah, so I guess you had to be there...but it made our night.

Yesterday I just hung around and built a website for my brother Levi. I guess he has been having a hard time recently. He is at that stage where you get yelled at a lot for doing kid stuff. Combine that with him not getting much attention due to my sisters new baby. Anway, so I built a site dedicated to him. Go check it out if you want and sign the guestbook while you are there.. I few days ago I also built a one page site for your blog reference needs. Here is the link. .

OK..let me know what you think of my sites. More later.
