Brand New and Fully Updated: David's Blog Directory
OK, now that all of that stuff is out of the way I will actually blog. Let's see here...this first week of school has been pretty crappy. To start it off I was all set to make a bunch of money, and didn't.
I guess I should start for the beginning. Two quarters ago I took Business 100 and found out that because the bookstore was selling loose leaf text books, that they wouldn't buy them back. So basically, I spent $75 and got stuck with the book. Well, I decided to try to sell it so I went to the bookstore at the beginning of last quarter and easily sold it for $35 to the first person I saw looking at the business books. Well, this of course got me thinking. So, two weeks ago when the quarter ended I went to business classes and provided a way for students to make some money back on their books. I bought a bunch for $15 a piece. It was cool because some teachers even let me come in and do presentations in front of their classes. Anyway, I figured I could then sell the books to new students for $35 - $50 and make some quick cash. Well, all went according to plan until I got a little to open about my dealings. I was hanging outside the bookstore and management complained. A COD community officer told me I had to pack up my stuff, and that I would be arrested if I did any other solicitation. F. So, I put away the books and went back into the bookstore to read and decide what to do. I was just standing there reading a book when the officer and two managers approached me. They said two employees overheard me soliciting again (which I wasn't) and I was being kicked out of the store. The officer called my info and ran a check on me, and the managers alerted employees to watch for me. Now if I ever go in again I could be arrested for trespassing. Oooot. I ended up selling off the rest of my books to an off campus bookstore for what I paid. Overall I didn't make nearly as much money as I wanted to on the deal, but I did make money. I guess I should be thankful.
OK, so that was Monday. Then on Tuesday I started my new classes. Unfortunately when I got to my Math class I quickly realized that after taking 3.5 years off from math..I was in way over my head. So, I had to drop it and try to revamp my schedule. Ugh. So, my new schedule is as follows:
Tuesday: 9:00 -10:20 - Accounting 111 ; 1:00 -3:20 - Macroeconomics ; 4:00 - Meeting with my independent study teacher for English Technical Writing.
Wednesday 6:20 -8:00 - Racquetball
Thursday: Accounting, Macroeconomics, and 6:30 -10:00 Sociology 210
It all comes out to 17 credits. That means over the summer I will take an easier math class and tennis..and then be done. Yeah.
I think I am going to Northeastern Illinois in the fall. That's about a block from North Park, so that's cool.
Finally, since I promised a picture, this one is from my time at Kristin's sister's house in WI last weekend:

Midweek Flashback # 11
One April fools day I rubbed liquid hand soap into my brothers toothbrush. I thought it was funny when he went to brush his teeth. He didn't think so.
I think I will dig up some more old pictures for next week.
